V Visa Inc.
A superb global toll road, but 14% implied growth leaves no room for ordinary excellence.
The business
Visa operates a global payment network connecting consumers, merchants, banks, and other financial institutions. It earns fees from payment volume, transaction processing, cross-border activity, and value-added services without assuming consumer credit risk.

Moat & management
| Moat | wide moat |
| Source | network effect |
| Trajectory | stable |
| Management | excellent |
Visa's enormous two-sided network, global acceptance, trusted brand, and deeply embedded bank relationships are exceptionally difficult to replicate. Alternative payment rails are improving, but Visa can often connect to or monetize them rather than be displaced outright.
Management maintains modest leverage, reinvests in the network and adjacent services, and returns substantial excess cash while reducing share count. Continuous repurchases at premium valuations are the principal capital-allocation weakness.
